About Us

The Silicon Valley Chinese American Computer and Commerce Association (SVCACA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and community involvement within the Chinese American community in the Silicon Valley region.

Our mission is to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders to connect, collaborate, and succeed. We strive to foster innovation, knowledge sharing, and cross-cultural understanding through a variety of programs and events.

The SVCACA has been active for the past 40 years, and is the oldest high-tech organization of its kind in Silicon Valley. SVCACA is comprised of many computer enterprises with thousands of employees and aggregate revenues in the billions of dollars, and also various business entities in the ecosystem including real estate and banking.

In 1980, when the computer revolution was erupting in Silicon Valley, groups of Chinese science students brought computer technology back to Taiwan and began producing hardware to export back to the United States. Other groups of students many of whom are now members of the SVCACA seized the opportunity to import these products, assemble them into PC systems, and distribute all throughout the United States. This trade figured strongly in the growth of Taiwan as well as the general technological and economic developments of the United States.

Today, much of Taiwan’s computer manufacturing operations have been moved to Mainland China, and subsequently all over the world. Our Association’s relations have shifted alongside this trend. Nonetheless, the computer electronics industry has been booming in Taiwan, and the application has expanded from original computers and semiconductor into consumer electronics and electronic components. We continue to play a key role in bridging Taiwanese companies from Silicon Valley, to Taiwan, to all over the world.

SVCACA has become a premier platform for Chinese American businesses and entrepreneurs to collaborate and exchange information in the Silicon Valley. We offered a wide range of programs and events designed to support the Chinese American community in Silicon Valley. These include:

Networking events: Our networking events provide an opportunity for members to connect with other professionals and entrepreneurs in the region, exchange ideas, and develop partnerships.

Business workshops: We organize workshops and seminars on a range of topics related to entrepreneurship and business development, featuring experienced speakers and industry experts.

Community outreach: We are committed to giving back to our community, and organize community service and volunteer events throughout the year.
